How-to spot cheaters and report them for banning

OK, to make the process of getting players banned as smooth as possible I would like to introduce the following "How-to" for spotting and reporting cheaters.

If you suspect a player of cheating go to the following page:

After loading the proper server page, check how old the screens are. If the last update was long ago: refresh the database first!

On the left side of the screen you can select 2 filters:
1. Cropped screens (meaning the actual screenshot was blocked from being sent)

2. Color matches (meaning that certain colors are in the screenshots, can be either by chance in a windows screen or something or you see the game with weird colored names/bars etcetera in it. That last type is definitive proof of cheating (software hack).

Keep the following in mind: having ONLY cropped PBSS is not enough for us, we like it to be backed up by suspicious statistics of the player.
This means that when a suspicious player has cropped screenshots, you ALSO have to check his stats to see if there are any suspicious stats.
You can easily get to his profile by clicking "x more" on his cropped screen in the herokuapp webpage and then click the relevant link ("profile") on that page.
If the players have suspicious stats: reason for ban.
If not, check with us in TS to see if it worth putting a post in for banning.

When all is checked and you want to report, please use the following format:


Subject: Ban player "Insert Name" for cheating/stats padding/bad behaviour (if it does not fit: be smart in your choice of words).

Which server?
Which date (dd-mm-yyyy)?
Which time (hh:mm) CET/CEST (whichever is appropriate)?

State the reason and evidence: Â*Cropped PBSS / Cheating screenshots / Statistics (please include BFP4F profile link) / Stats padding / Bad behaviour.
No need to include a copy of the cropped Â*screenshot. There is an archive of cropped screenshots that Staff can reach.
For hacking report it IS important to upload the picture to imgur.com or any other picture site and put the download link in with the report, since we can't find that back in an archive.

Remember that you only need to check the stats if a player has cropped screenshots.

For an obvious software cheat (such as in the pictures above) I only need the info on which server, date and approximate time.
I will then get the screenshot from herokuapp myself and upload it to GGC to get the player banned.
Of course you can provide the link to the page with the color match screenshots you found :wink:

If a player doesnt have any suspicious screenshots...

* Do you suspect someone of cheating but cant find his name when searching for him?
This might be the solution for you:

When you search for people with less than 5 letters in their name, simply add a "-".
Otherwise you wont find them.

Example:

Ok then i need to start adding date, time, map which is no problem, i guess i should had thought of that. Lazy i guess, but want to make your side as easy as possible Skinny.

But i do have one question, last night around 11 pm est on OG 8 there has a guy i could not find and didnt see any screen shots and his name was like ''llllIIIllIIllI'' wtf, how do you figure something out like this in the game. I mean i couldnt even kick the guys, because i couldnt tell what the letters or numbers were in game. I hate these names and wish there was an auto sort of kick for these type of names just because lack of imagination. I know there probably isnt an answer to this, but thought i would bring it up to see if anyone as any ideas.

wow, skinny this is a good way to let people know how to spot cheaters/hackers, i guess now almost everybody that red this post know how to do it and want to do it xD

and of course player, that trick from you is also a good one XD
