It's BETA ...

+1

Its BETA for sure.
I have a 6 core 4,2ghz cpu
16GB of memory.
2x AMD 6950 2GB cards and the max FPS I get is 15.
And it dosent matter if I put all on low or max settings.

are you using the 13.10beta2 driver?

Never change the resolution scale slider from 100 procent
it will fuck your output to your monitor so it will never run good.

Edit: i forgot to tell you that YOU NEED WINDOWS 8 TO RUN BF4 PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had 30 fps on high. Horrible to play. Had to set everything on low to be able to play the game.

Go windows 8. I had solid 60 on low 1080p no stutter. テつ*Ultra mesh. テつ*Game runs miles better n windows 8. Fx processors do as well.

I have windows 7 and no problems at all

Caveman

Well you will defintly feel the diference, windows 7 is not designed to make use of multicores.
BF4 is designed to make use of multicores. And so is windows 8, better cpu usage and proper multicore/hyperthreading support.

Can't deny game runs much better on Windows 8, and not only BF4 :) everything does.
First hand experience right here.

Don't use that one, is way outdated. Not the right way of implementing the windows 7 shell.
I will upload a new one today!

Apperently some people with major cpu problems need to set bf4.exe to a low priority!

After update 10.10.2013 I got a better fps.
Now I`m all from 38 to 68.
But the normal was 48.
The strange thing is that it dosen matter if I set it on low or ultra.
I still get the same fps.

Guys, BE MORE SPECIFIC!!!

What windows are you running?
What hardware do you have?
What are the drivers you are using?
What are the exact issues?

So we can help a bit or tell you how to fix your shit.

Well, how would you fix my shit? I bought a new mobo yesterday (I thought the old one was dying), but this one is UEFI, not BIOS. So now I can boot to linux, but not to win, as something with grub is fucked :P

How's that shit, huh?

And the worst shit is, I just figured that the old MoBo was ok, my CPU fan is actually not always spinning up. Sometimes it starts working, sometimes it does not. Scythe Katana 2 I think. Maybe a year old. And I was wondering why my CPU was running into 101 degrees Celsius.

Do a reinstall of windows, a UEFI one of windows 8 runs great.

If you change motherboard, that changes the thing that controls your entire computer. Possibly a new chipset .that requires a new windows install.
Linux is usually a bit more relaxed and can deal with more than windows can.

You do know that with the start8 plugin it looks exactly like windows 7? I'll post a screenshot of my desktop later. ツ*There is literally no difference. ツ*The UI is the only reason not to upgrade I can think of. :)

It would surely help your performance. ツ*It's the only thing I can think off really.

I updated the driver, giving me about 2 more FPS. Now i run 25-30 FPS on ugly. Any more tips? I might be able to squeeze about 150-200 euros out of an old sock if there is some great solution upgraid thingy.
