Just pre-load it. Then use a proxy to activate it just as BF3.

I don't see how it's any different.
If you got the game files the 28th. you can play the 28th because you can activate the game via a VPN/Proxy

I did not play BF3 from the start, so I have no knowledge of what your saying here.
But I do remember caveman saying something similar a while back, VPN thingy's.

I used FlyVPN trial and I'm pre-loading as we speak. Works like a charm.

Short how-to:
Start up FlyVPN - pick a server in the US - start up Origin and start the pre-load - then disconnect VPN and the download speed will be what you normally get.
