So the journey in a new world with minecraft 1.6.4 has begun.
After a little period of no minecraft and issues with traincraft we have a new server with 2 mods on it.
These two mods are Buildcraft and Railcraft.
If you haven't played minecraft i kindly ask you to take a look @ it. I Always figured this is such a noob game it looks ugly and so on and on. But seeing so many members playing it and also seeing that members from different groups are playing this made me wanna get into this fun. And i have to be honest if you liked lego in the past this just fits your needs.
Also the game is out for some time now and there is still an intense growing of support and development arround minecraft.
So how do you get started?
First you need to have java installed, download it here: http://java.com
Then you visit https://minecraft.net/
Register there and buy the game. The game will put you off €19,- and thrust me it is worth every penny.
Download it and install the game. Make SURE YOU CHANGE YOUR PROFILE AND SET VERSION TO 1.6.4
After you installed it you want to join a standard 1.6.4 server to create all the files.
Try to direct connect to this server: luckycraft.luckymine.nl:25616 Â*you don't need to play there it's only needed to create all the gamefiles. And you cannot do that on ours cause it has mods running.
After doing that you have 2 download forgemod: https://db.tt/mydwvfZQ
Install the client version and when that is finished you want startup the game and change your profile to Forge
Then connect to the standard server again cause forge needs to create files aswell.
When that is finished you want to download buildcraft and railcraft:

Don't open these files!! These files need to go to the mods folder in your minecraft gamefolder.
Minecraft normaly installs in appdata/roaming/.minecraft
After you are done and the two mods are in the mods forlder you will be able to join our server.
For better graphics i suggest you use sphax bdcraft.

Put this zipfile in your resourcepack map!
You can connect to our server by mc.oldguys.eu
Ask Vercetti or RPG to whitelist you!
