I had Linux a couple of times and i liked it. The problem was that i mostly worked with the operating system all the time. So i got tired of it and went back to Bills system :-)

hey Hangover
ty for your re . I am new in Ubuntu , tried something years ago . But now is easy OS i think . I dont must surch for Drivers etc .
Everthing works fine , Printer , scanner , webcam etc.
Now i will install Ts3 , and Wine . Try to play bfp4f under Ubuntu . Adventure ;)
I use linux pretty extensively ,but I use Manjaro, which is a rolling release, based of Arch.
Either way, I don't use it for gaming, but for school work / text editing etc.
There should be a wiki on Ubuntu which has all info you ever need. Ubuntu doesn't need much Command-line and most things run in a GUI.
As for running games, wine can be a PAIN, but just fiddle with it.
You can find some info on what settings to use here: http://appdb.winehq.org
