New game idea: A perspective game
My idea is a game, where we all film our playing, so we can follow what fails we make and what we could do better. It's also a good commercial gimmick. The idea is so: we make a time, than all players on one of our server start to capture they're playing (I suggest Fraps). All on the Server have to be at least the complete first round. Then you compress it and send it to me. I make the Videos and load it on YouTube.

Sure why not, already have ÂÂ*tons of moments ÂÂ* on video engineer, medic and recon maybe not recon
i coud ÂÂ*make them smaler and put them on rapid share, that way you can download and use what you need
Re: New game idea: A perspective game
I'd like to. But then again I don't usually play engineer solo, as I have a fellow engineer giving me a helping hand.

i don´t want to show enemys my playstyle so i am out
Re: New game idea: A perspective game
There is a little technical problem: filesize and compression.
My fraps is set to record fullscreen 1360x768 on 30fps. That makes 4 GB per 3minute gameplay. Compressed to 3000 kb/s vbr (almost bad quality - but enough for p4f) you can minimize it to 75 MB per 3 minutes.
Now count upwards. How long will a round last? with 15 mins we have 375 mb compressed material. With 32 players that makes 12 GB and 3 hours of material. Inspecting these and cut together will be hell of a job.
Most important will be the resolution of each players uploaded video. If all sources have adifferent size it will be a pain.
This is not ment to ba a "This is crap - stop it" message. Just want to give ahint of the difficulties that should be thought threw before ...
... Or even minimize it and only take a squad of 4 or 5 players that interact and teamwork.
... just brainstorming....
... finished ...
Im in, if you wanna go hot !
